I play music that doesn't want to be stuffed into any particular pigeon hole too tightly. Some of it's rockabilly, some is blues, some of it's rockabilly and blues rolled into one. Some of it is old honkey tonk style and some of it is soul music. It's Americana. I sure hope you like it.
I've played music my whole life all over the US, parts of Canada and some of Europe. I've also had about 200 different jobs, like tying steel in a big ditch or working as a stage hand and as a high rigger, I've driven a truck, I've worked 2600 feet under ground in the worlds largest copper mine, built scaffold 150 feet in the air for a rock show. Sometimes the music was in-between the jobs and sometimes the jobs were in-between the music.
I left home at 15. My mother was off her nut just a tad and my dad was a mite overbearing - so I left. People would look at it now and say I was homeless, (and I was), but I felt like I had hit the lottery to be out of that house. But.... it was a damn lot of work surviving because 15 year old kids don't get payed much at a vegetable stand, a car wash, as a dishwasher - you know what I mean.
I've had troubles but I've survived just fine and and maybe that's why they call me "Lucky".
I'm just gonna' leave out the chapter on romance. Let's just say, I've had a few.
Well, what's the point of all this? Just this; if I sing you a song it ain't about how I THINK it feels.
